Sheesh, welcome to two years ago, it's surprising that the user score isn't lower. I don't think it should go away, as that's kind of an Orwellian way to handle things, but I do think there should be some kind of verification process that separates the randos from the people who actually played the games.
And I think it's weird to get mad at the people who are giving it low scores, I mean of course there are trolls but it's not like it's impossible...
Well they certainly aren't winning that category in terms of quantity.
I just want to report this story with as little personal input as humanly possible, there's no offense to you. Once you write the story yourself, no matter how well you do it, you're liable for the language you use to tell the story, even if it only affects the story in little ways.
And this is what you get when you remove the one source that is non-biased and contains the most information possible, you get a dozen guys submitting all sorts of different angles and versions of the story.
I think it's just a case of it being a smaller website that wasn't prepared for the sudden increase in traffic.

I'd generalize it more to 'sound' rather than just music. I've played many a shitty looking game that still had tons of atmosphere because of the music and sound design. Plus, like the other guy said, music is always what sticks with you; you might get a great song stuck in your head but I've never spontaneously thought about how good a game's graphics were.
Hopefully you have to type '0451' somewhere on the PC version, like in a config value (ie, changing "difficulty=2 to "difficulty=0451").

The only way you're going to get this game running at 4k is if you toned it down to make it look like Killzone 1, not that anyone has a 4k display anyway. 1080p MAYBE, but unless it's at 720p the graphical leap won't be that huge.
I don't see how the first and third ones can be used to discriminate against us. The 'No Russian' thing at least allows you to gun down hundreds of innocent polygons but in the other ones it's just stuff happening to you.
This is a very promising review to see coming from a publication that dishes out (perfectly valid) 8's to otherwise critically acclaimed games.
I can't believe people miss those things. Games are so streamlined and accessible these days it's not really necessary to have manuals anymore for the majority of games.

Of all the things to fix from Borderlands 1, you'd think making it a little harder to completely break the game and then take it online with no trouble would be high on their list.
